Bimota's Wild KB4RC Finally Set for Release
Sure, it grabs notice, but does it interest you?
I don't believe we've ever witnessed this before. Bimota And he thought, “Well, that’s not particularly impressive.” Whether you hate them or adore them, Bimotas command attention as they zoom past due to their daring, nearly bespoke, apparently unique builds. Every motorcycle is meticulously hand-assembled and painted by skilled Italian artisans.
Today, cities across the globe are preparing to embrace yet another Bimota model: the KB4RC.
Bimota aimed to create the KB4RC as a motorcycle that anyone could easily handle, encapsulating this vision with the single term "freedom." The design builds upon the light structure of the KB4 model, featuring substantial power from Kawasaki’s 1,043 cc inline-four engine typically found in the Ninja 1000SX. This motor delivers 140 horsepower along with 81 lb-ft of torque.
This model builds upon the KB4, which was initially released as a Japan-exclusive variant in 2019. Essentially, the KB4RC can be viewed as a Kawasaki Z1000, featuring a frame crafted by Bimota instead of Kawasaki’s own manufacturing. Envision it as an upscale naked bike, teetering towards being a hyper-naked motorcycle.
What the RC intends to accomplish compared to the basic version KB4 Is designed for easy adjustment according to the rider’s body type, riding habits, and style. Bimota implemented an eccentric mechanism allowing quick changes to both the peg position and overall bike height. However, what will undoubtedly draw the most attention is the three-part aluminum swingarm attached to the motor through a precision-machined aluminum hinge plate. Such a component would not seem misplaced even on a MotoGP motorcycle from recent years.
After you finish admiring the swingarm, there are numerous other impressive components to captivate your interest, such as the Öhlins suspension and Brembo braking system. If you're intrigued by the technical aspects of the motorcycle, take a closer look at the chrome-molybdenum steel front trellis frame attached directly to the engine along with an under-seat radiator, which together achieve optimal front-to-back weight balance.
The KB4RC carries a recommended retail price of ¥4,730,000 ($31,798 USD) and includes a 2-year warranty. When it becomes available for purchase on March 25th, just how prepared will you be to deplete your savings? Share your thoughts in the comments section if this catches your interest.
