Russian hypersonic missiles fail miserably

In addition to the drones used by both Russian and Ukrainian forces, the large-scale invasion of Ukraine has allowed Russia to utilize one of its "most powerful" military technologies, reportedly exclusive to its own industry and that of China: hypersonic weapons. Supposedly groundbreaking, they're turning out to be a disappointment in actual combat.
It's evident, in writing, that Russia's hypersonic missiles' speed and power render their effectiveness practically undeniable... yet.
It seems that Moscow has restricted the deployment of this type of missile, which necessitates advanced engineering and materials to resist extreme heat. Impeded by sanctions, Russia has also found it challenging to manufacture them in large quantities, instead giving precedence to drones.
It was also reported that, according to Ukrainian sources, the Kinzhal suffered a loss in May 2023, by falling at speeds lower than anticipated for a hypersonic missile.
Thinks that the systems will continue to evolve, particularly with artificial intelligence, and will then become (truly) formidable. It is hoped that peace finds a way before these technological advancements occur.
